It was a dark and stormy night, ....
.... of course!
Yes! It does seem that it is time to say, "I need some boiling water and some clean towels."
{For those of you who don't know, we're talking puppies.}
These pictures are of Halle a week ago.
(short for Halle Lou - get it?)
(um .... really - that's her name!)
Now, she's roughly the size of a small whale.
I had a post forming in my mind about feeling the need to nest and get the nursery ready. Her due date is next Wednesday.
Scratch that!
Happily, no one needs to tell her to breathe.
She's got the pant thing down pat!
She's, also, licking everything in sight.
I've been dodging her tongue for the last 5 hours!
Wish us well!
It seems very imminent but you never know...
Love, Katy
Dear Katy, And now you are turning midwife. Is there indeed any end to your talents? About dogs, although I love them, I know very lttle so will, unusually, on this occasion refrain from giving advice.
ReplyDeleteBack to the Bothy. Of course there should be no electricity. Candles, should there be a need for light at night, are more than sufficient. Now, for heating the water for tea, purchase a small primus stove and an aluminium kettle in the manner of the Boy Scouts [or American equivalent - in Hungary, The Pioneers] and Bob will be your Uncle, as the English saying goes.
Whatever, I am sure when done it will be enchanting.
I love her name! Good luck! I see your next post is that they are here, so on to that one!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lynn
