Forty Foot Chicken!!!

I got a new lens for my camera for Christmas.

The first day, I took it out and (unfortunately) with trembling hands, shot away at things.

I have millions of photos that I've taken since the beginning of the year and was going through a few of them. These are blurry ones from the very first batch.

Oh, seeing the forty foot chicken in this light cracked me up!

It lives in the kitchen dresser.

(which, apparently, needs the windows washed - I didn't realize...)

At least the sheep is only the size of a cart horse!

Sometime, I'll take some proper photos of my cabinet - it's a fun little world in there.

A Fresh Start!

I have a little beautiful book that I like to read called, The Yearbook of Comfort and Joy, which is by Celia Haddon.

It's supposed to be a daily ritual but I really just like to read it in huge, big swaths.

She says:

My friends,... sent me a card with this message.
When I can do this, troubles no longer trouble me.

What does the card say?

Look backward with gratitude.
Look onward with hope.
Look upward with confidence.

What a lovely thing to do in the New Year!

Happy New Year!

Hello, dear friends!

Here I am, in the very wee hours of the night, in the very cradle of this newborn year.

I just don't want to go to sleep before I wish you the very, very best in 2011.

I hope that you can be just the very best that you can be
and that peace, joy and love follow you, no matter where you find yourself!

Happy New Year!!!

Hugs and kisses to you all!

Katy Noelle
